PEP e-portfolio launched

22 July 2022

The Procedures Endorsement Program (supervised clinical experience pathway) is ANZCA's first educational program to move to our new online platform, Kaizen.

The portfolio launched on 21 July with endorsees now accessing their logbook, online assessment forms and a number of data reports in the one system. This will greatly enhance their experience in the SCEP and remove reliance from paper-based forms.

This system is web-based but is fully customisable for mobile use and incorporates logbook enhancement recommendations from the 2021 pilot program endorsees. We'll continue to seek feedback to grow and modify the system as the program develops. It will have additional functionality for single sign-on and online registration for our new endorsees entering the program from 2023.

In 2021 ANZCA commenced the LifeLong Learning Project which reviewed all IT systems that support our education programs. This was done with a view to update those systems to ensure we have optimal educational capability for our members including reducing our reliance on paper-based processes and bringing all existing systems into one experience. The key systems we'll be replacing include the Training Portfolio System, Exams Management System, Learning Management System (currently Networks), Training Site Accreditation and CPD.
