Opportunity to contribute to global anaesthesia Safety Project

25 November 2021

Lifebox ANZ is seeking expressions of interest from Australian trainees to fill a trainee representative committee position.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involved with a charitable organisation with a strong track record for project delivery in lower and middile income countries (LMICs).

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Lifebox committee meetings three-four times per year by teleconference.
  • Promote Lifebox ANZ to anaesthesia trainees in Australia and New Zealand to increase awareness and opportunities to get involved in fund-raising activities.
  • Contribute to project development and implementation.

Desirable attributes:

  • An interest in global health and an understanding of the lack of access to affordable safe surgery and anaesthesia in LMICs.
  • Enthusiasm to engage with the ANZ trainee community and promote Lifebox activities.
  • A desire to gain knowledge of non-governmental organisation (NGO) work.
  • Ability to influence positive outcomes amongst different stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, international recipients, and multidisciplinary professional bodies.

Further information can be found here. Expressions of interest should be sent to contactus@interplast.org.au and should include your CV and a cover letter. The closing date is 28 January 2022.
