Concerns about proposed buying group

Read our submission in response to the ACCC's draft determination on the Honeysuckle Health buying group.

We've raised our concerns with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in response to their draft determination to authorise Honeysuckle Health (Cigna/nib health funds) form and operate a buying group to collectively negotiate and administer contracts with healthcare providers for five years.

ANZCA has made a submission in response to the draft determination to express concern that allowing the applicants to establish a buying group would lead to poorer quality healthcare and reduced choice for patients.
Our submissions to public inquiries are available on the college website following the inquiry closing date.
