DHAC warning for consumers seeking cosmetic surgery
The Department of Health and Aged Care has released a guide to the general public on how to find credible information for the types and available practitioners of cosmetic surgery.
This guide includes information on understanding the potential risks of cosmetic surgery, the broadness of the term ‘cosmetic surgeon’ and the importance of patronizing licenced facilities.

Review of the Osteoarthritis of the Knee Clinical Care Standard
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare has commenced review of the Osteoarthritis of the Knee Clinical Care Standard. The initial review will incorporate a literature review of the latest evidence and current data on implementation. Feedback is being sought on the relevance and currency of the clinical care standard and related indicators via an online survey until Sunday 12 February.
