A number of safety alerts were released this month regarding a class 1 recall of BD infusion sets, misconnections of breathing circuits, and several medical device alerts shared by Safer Care Victoria. For all safety alerts see here.
ACSQHC Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Care Standard
Detailed specifications are now available to support the indicators in the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care's (ACSQHC) 2020 Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Care Standard. The specifications can be found via the Metadata Online Registry (METeOR); an online repository of nationally endorsed data and indicator definitions, hosted by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
webAIRS sessions at the upcoming ANZCA ASM
There will be four sessions involving ANZTADC analysers presenting webAIRS data at the upcoming joint Airway Management, Obstetric Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine special interest groups virtual meeting and the ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting.
These webAIRS sessions will include: critical incidents in airway management, how to enter an incident to webAIRS, and registering, reporting and conducting personal or departmental audits. For more information, see visit the webAIRS events page.
