An SIMG ePortfolio is coming soon

21 June 2023

We’ve developing an ePortfolio for specialist international medical graduates (SIMGs).

Delivery of the SIMG pathway will transition from paper-based to digital processes with the use of an ePortfolio. This work is happening as part of the college’s Lifelong Learning Project  which aims to provide equal access to learning through adaptive and contemporary education methods, including transitioning paper-based processes to digital.

The SIMG ePortfolio is being built in the Risr Advance ePortfolio, the same online learning platform already being used successfully by the pain medicine training program and rural generalist anaesthesia program.
We’re in the early stages of configuration and ensuring the platform can effectively capture all of the requirements and assessment activities within the individual programs once an SIMG has been accepted into the pathway.

More information about launch dates, training and system demonstrations will be provided in the coming months.

Would you like to get involved?

As we develop the SIMG ePortfolio, we endeavour to get feedback from SIMG participants, supervisors, assessors, fellows and DPA assessors so that we can create a portfolio that meets your needs. This might include attending online workshops with system demonstrations, providing feedback during a workshop, through a survey, or completing some user acceptance testing. If this is something you’re interested in, please send an email to simg@anzca.edu.au with your expression of interest.
If you have any questions about the Lifelong Learning Project or new SIMG ePortfolio, please reach out to the team lifelonglearning@anzca.edu.au or simg@anzca.edu.au.
