Ride for Their Lives climate campaign

01 October 2021

Join your UK colleagues on a virtual ride as they cycle over 800 kilometres from London to Glasgow to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). They aim to highlight the negative impacts of air pollution and climate change.

ANZCA supports the Ride for Their Lives campaign launched today.

Staff from several hospitals across the UK will be cycling more than 800 kilometres to call for action on climate change, particularly the seriousness of air pollution and its negative health impacts on children.

They’re calling on health practitioners globally to join the campaign virtually by riding 100 kilometres between 1-31 October. Their goal is to achieve a collective one million kilometres.

As part of our continuing advocacy for environmental sustainability in healthcare and our recent joint call with other medical colleges for urgent and meaningful action on climate change, we’re supporting this campaign and encouraging all our fellows, trainees and SIMGs to ride for their lives.
