WebAIRS recognition

Joint winners announced for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Jeanette Thirlwell Best Paper Award.

For the first time in the history of the prize, the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Jeanette Thirlwell Best Paper Award for 2020 has joint winners.

It has been awarded to Dr Yasmin Endlich, Dr Julia Lee and Dr Martin Culwick, for their paper ‘Difficult and failed intubation in the first 4000 incidents reported on webAIRS’, and Dr Kasia Kulinski and Dr Natalie Smith for their paper  ‘Surgical prehabilitation using mobile health coaching in patients with obesity: a pilot study’.
 
Dr Endlich is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Tripartite Anaesthetic Data Committee (ANZTADC) and has recently been appointed as the ANZTADC Publications Chair, following the retirement of Professor Alan Merry.
