ANZCA exams: FAQs
Important information for primary and final exam candidates.
The COVID-19 pandemic has already had a major impact on where and when we run our exams, and we're continually reviewing our plans in line with ongoing changes in different jurisdictions. Every possible option and variation for delivery of the exams is being considered.
Frequently asked questions
To ensure all candidates and supervisors have access to the latest information, we've created a new page with answers to your frequently asked questions about the ANZCA primary and final exams. We will update this to reflect any further changes as required.
This afternoon ANZCA President, Dr Vanessa Beavis, emailed all trainees and supervisors with detailed information. She will be meeting with both the final and primary exam subcommittees and other key fellows and staff next week, and there will be an extraordinary meeting of ANZCA Council on Saturday 8 August to discuss our plans and ratify the approach we will adopt.
Dr Beavis is also planning to hold a webinar on in the week beginning Monday 10 August to provide an update. We will provide full details next week.
A message from the ANZCA Trainee Committee
We would like to share this message from committee co-chairs Dr Katherine Gough and Dr Nicole Muir:
"There is a lot of animated discussion going on around exam contingency planning. We have heard from so many of you recently, thank you so much for your feedback.
The trainee committee and ANZCA have been discussing all of your comments/concerns over the last few days and working together on the FAQ document. We really hope it will be helpful.
Please keep in touch with us. Open lines of communication are so important during this difficult time. Stay safe and take care of each other."
