Dr Mark Alcock

Mark is an anaesthetist, specialist pain medicine physician and lead of the Queensland Interdisciplinary Paediatric Persistent Pain Service at Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, where he was worked since 2016.

A born and bred Tasmanian, he graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2005 and completed his vocational training in Tasmania and Victoria.

Mark was a school boy when the first edition of APM:SE was released, a medical student for the second edition, an anaesthetic trainee for the third edition and a pain medicine trainee for the fourth edition before reaching the pinnacle as an editor for the fifth edition. He is hoping he won’t be a divorcee because of the sixth edition.
