Dr Michael Jones, FANZCA (NSW)

Dr Jones was co-opted to ANZCA Council in November 2014 and formally elected in May 2015.  Michael has a mixed public/private working profile with interests in perioperative medicine and orthopedic anaesthesia. 

He has a long involvement in ANZCA affairs including roles as a supervisor of training, NSW Regional Committee chair, NSW CME Committee chair, a part II examiner and examiner assessor. In addition he co-edited six editions  of Australasian Anaesthesia (the Blue Book), was the medical venue manager at the Sydney International Aquatic Centre for the 2000 Olympics, and on the Organising Committee for the Sydney 1996 World Congress of Anaesthesia and the Singapore 2014 ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). He is now the chair of examinations and deputy chair of the ASM and Events Planning Committee.
