Sophia is a provisional fellow at Royal Darwin Hospital and has a passion for exploring ways to improve the quality of life of people and society - be that good perioperative management, complex pain management or advocating for a greener sustainable future. She is co-founder and co-chair of TRA2SH, a trainee network aiming to innovate and improve waste management in operating theatres through research and audit. Her training background is in trauma, working as a doctor in the British military and major trauma centres in London, Birmingham and Melbourne. She has also worked in remote parts of the world experiencing the vulnerability of these societies in the face of climate change. Sophia has a masters in clinical education, a postgraduate diploma in medical care of catastrophes and has completed anaesthetic fellowship exams in the UK and in Australia.
