Rural Generalist Registrar, NT

Elisabeth McLinton is a Rural Generalist Registrar with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. She has been living in Alice Springs for the past two years, working across the Anaesthetics and Emergency Departments at Alice Springs Hospital and remotely at Tennant Creek Hospital. 

Elisabeth worked in rural NSW as a junior medical officer for 2 years prior to moving to Alice Springs. While completing post-graduate medical school at the Australian National University she undertook multiple medical placements in rural and remote areas in NSW, Northern Territory and internationally in East Timor and the Thai-Myanmar border. Prior to medical training Elisabeth completed a Double degree in Arts/Science with honours in Molecular Virology at Monash University. 
 
Outside of medicine, Elisabeth is completing a Masters of Public Health through University of New South Wales and is (slowly) working towards a PhD in Global Health with the Australian National University.
