Submissions

ANZCA prepares submissions in response to a range of policy initiatives and inquiries.

 

Submissions are normally co-ordinated by the Safety and Advocacy unit in close consultation with ANZCA and FPM's directors of professional affairs, councillors, fellows, special interest groups, and senior members of staff.

 

In its submissions, ANZCA articulates its position on issues that impact on trainees, fellows, the health system and broader community, drawing on the expertise available within ANZCA and FPM on the practice of anaesthesia, pain medicine and related areas.

ANZCA/Faculty of Pain Medicine accreditation submissions

The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, including the Faculty of Pain Medicine, have recently provided submissions for re-accreditation to the Australian Medical Council and the Medical Council of New Zealand. The submissions, addressing nine accreditation standards, are the first phase of the re-accreditation process in both Australia and New Zealand. Following consideration of these submissions the Australian Medical Council undertook a series of consultations at ANZCA and FPM offices and accredited training sites.
