Eligibility to attend

The ANZCA Educators Program is available to all ANZCA and FPM Fellows, Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMGs), provisional fellows, and advanced trainees.

Since its inception in 2010 until the end of 2016, the ANZCA Educators Program (previously the Foundation Teacher Course) has cost approximately $A3 million to run, maintain and expand with new module offerings and more facilitators. This has been made possible due to ANZCA funding of $A1.8 million and the Australian Department of Health providing a Specialist Training Program grant of $A1.2 million.

Due to the cessation of government funding from 2017, a fee for participants will be introduced to offset this funding loss, which will however only be about one third of the actual cost.

The following participant contributions will apply from January 1, 2017:
  • ANZCA Educators Program eight-module course: $A850 + GST or $NZ910 + GST.
  • ANZCA Educators Program individual modules: $A100 + GST each or $NZ107 + GST each.
Cancellation and refund conditions apply. Click here for further information.

All events will be published on the ANZCA Event Calendar for registration.

Eight-module courses: Places are limited on each course and will be allocated in order of registration until capacity is reached.

Individual modules: dates and locations will be published on the ANZCA Event Calendar from January 2018 and will continue throughout the year as more events are confirmed. The number of places at the modules will vary depending on the location, with allocations in order of registration until capacity is reached.

Keep an eye out for communications in the ANZCA and FPM e-newsletters for announcements of new events and open registrations.
