Examinations

In the course of ANZCA training, trainees are required to successfully complete the primary examination (while in basic training) and the final examination (during advanced training). Trainees should be familiar with the format, minimum marks required and eligibility requirements for each of these important examinations.

Each of these examinations is offered twice a year. Applications and documentation will not be accepted after the closing date. Refer to the sections below:

Conditions of entry to the examination

Trainees are advised that no time-keeping, electronic or audio recording devices are allowed on their person or taken into an examination room, including any pre-exam or post-exam waiting  (quarantine) areas. These items include, but are not limited to watches, wrist bands, fitness trackers, timers or alarms, mobile phones, calculators, portable computers, tablets, audio-recording devices, notes, books, textbooks or other learning materials. These changes are consistent with other medical colleges and are intended to protect the academic integrity of our high stakes examinations.

Applications are accepted via email only. Acknowledgement of applications will be done via email within 48 hours of receipt by the College, except for weekends and holidays, these will be acknowledged within 48 hours of the next working day.

Late applications and late documentation will not be accepted after the closing date. All application fees are to be paid in full. No payment plans will be granted.
