Phone calls to and from ANZCA lines back to normal

We're seeking expressions of interest from ANZCA and FPM fellows for a vacancy on the committee to commence in 2024.

Applications for our new Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) attendance grant open on Monday 11 March.

Fellows have been invited via email to our annual general meeting (AGM) of ANZCA on Monday 6 May at 12pm AEST at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

ANZCA Council and the FPM Board are disappointed that the Voice to Parliament was not supported in the Australian government referendum.

Congratulations to Dr Tanya Selak FANZCA (NSW) and Dr Leinani Salamasina Aiono-Le-Tagaloa FFPMANZCA (NZ). They will assume their new roles formally in May.

The college has recently endorsed the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) position statement on reusable sterile surgical gowns.

Our theme this year is “Anaesthetists: Caring for our sickest patients before, during and after surgery".

The foundation dedicates more than $1.5 million to medical research each year; supports our Indigenous health and overseas aid activities; and raises the profile of college-supported research.

Our institutional research repository collects, centralises, and promotes the significant amount of important research published by the college’s fellows and trainees.
