Ms Helen Maxwell-Wright AM

Joining ANZCA in 2002, Helen is a valued member of the SIMG Committee, EEMC, TAEC, Safety and Quality Committee and the Trainee Bursary Evaluation Committee. She has served on ad hoc committees to help formulate college policies on bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment. Helen also serves on the Specialist Education Accreditation Committee for the Australian Medical Council.

Helen brings a contemporary understanding of board governance, a broad consumer perspective and hands on experience to these roles. “Cultural safety is a key component in delivering contemporary healthcare and must underpin our respect and care for First Nations peoples” says Helen. "We all need to be respectful and informed and take the time to connect meaningfully to optimise patient outcomes”.
