Dr Danielle Muscat

Dr Danielle Muscat is a senior research fellow in the Sydney Health Literacy Lab at the University of Sydney. She has been an advisor on health literacy to the World Health Organization since 2019 and International Health Literacy Association Research Standards Committee member since 2021.

Dr Muscat won the Institute for Healthcare Advancement’s International Health Literacy Award in 2022 and is in the top one per cent of scholars writing about health literacy over the past 10 years. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions to improve health literacy among socially-disadvantaged groups.
