Julie is a biostatistician with over 30 years' experience of working in clinical trials, both in industry and academia. She is the biostatistical lead in the Adaptive Health Intelligence team, led by Prof Tom Snelling, and is based at the Telethon Kids Institute, with close affiliations with the University of Western Australia and the University of Sydney. Her current research areas are the design, implementation and analysis of Bayesian adaptive trials and vaccine safety surveillance. She collaborates across many national clinical trial networks and is a named investigator for ~$33 M of competitive research funding for Bayesian trials. Julie promotes statistical literacy more broadly by providing statistical consultation, seminars and workshops, predominately through her work for the Australian Clinical Trial Alliance (ACTA) and the AusTRIM Centre of Research Excellence.
