Dr Shannon Emmett

Dr Shannon Emmett is a clinical and laboratory haematologist at Gold Coast University Hospital working in the laboratory, the obstetric haematology service, a heavy menstrual bleeding clinic and thrombosis.

Shannon trained at the University of Cape Town and two junior doctor years in South Africa were obstetrics heavy. Here haematology training began in London where she obtained MRCP. Shannon's FRACP and FRCPA training were in Auckland guided by inspiring haematologists and obstetric physicians. 

Shannon did her obstetric medicine fellowship was at BC Women’s Hospital, Vancouver with much attention on preeclampsia.

She practiced at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland as a haematologist and obstetric physician before moving to the Gold Coast.
