About the ANZCA library

The ANZCA Library has three expert staff, led by Library Manager, John Prentice.

Who can use the library

Full library services and resources are available to all active college fellows and anaesthesia trainees; rural generalist anaesthesia (RGA) trainees; perioperative medicine (POM) trainees; diving and hyperbaric medicine (DHM) trainees and diploma/certificate holders; non-fellow continuing professional development (CPD) program participants; specialist international medical graduate (SIMGs) members; short course participants; and retired fellows.

ANZCA | FPM applicants have online-only access to library resources with full access to all services once they are registered as a trainee.

Study space

The library has a study/discussion space available for up to three people located at the rear of the main library. The Fellows Room opposite provides a study/discussion space for up to five people. Free access to the college wi-fi service is available in both areas.

Both the library and the Fellows Room are available for use at any time during college opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm (AEST/AEDT) excluding Victorian public holidays and college holidays.

Location and opening hours

The library is situated on the ground floor of the historic Ulimaroa building, alongside the award-winning Geoffrey Kaye Museum of Anaesthetic History.

Library services can be accessed 24/7. The library is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (AEST/AEDT), excluding Victorian public holidays and college holidays.

Library staff are located on Level 1 of ANZCA House. If you would like to speak to a library staff member in person, then please notify reception on your arrival.
