ANZCA Foundation

The foundation dedicates around $A1.5 million to medical research each year; supports our Indigenous health and overseas aid activities; and raises the profile of college-supported research.

Research funding in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in the areas of anaesthesia, pain and perioperative medicine is among the lowest of all medical specialties.

Many foundation-supported studies have led to large peer-reviewed funding grants for ANZCA Clinical Trials Network endorsed multi-centre clinical trials, improving evidence-based clinical practice worldwide.
