Conditions of entry for FPM exams

Important information for all candidates participating in FPM exams, including our conditions of application and entry.

Trainees participating in our pain medicine exams are required to adhere to our conditions of entry. 

Conditions of application

Trainees must apply via email and pay the fellowship exam fee by the published closing date. Applications will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours of receipt, or within 48 hours of the next working day for applications recieved during weekends and holidays.

Late applications will not be accepted after the closing date for an exam.

Conditions of entry to the exam room

Unauthorised items are prohibited in the exam room. The list below is consistent with other medical colleges and is intended to protect the academic integrity of our high stakes examinations. Unauthorised items include, but are not limited to:

Mobile phones and tablets Portable computers
Watches Calculators
Wrist bands Timers or alarms
Fitness trackers Audio-recording devices
Notes, books, textbooks Other learning materials






 

Withdrawing from the exam

Candidates wishing to withdraw their application on medical or compassionate grounds must inform the faculty in writing before the date of the exam.

Special considerations

On the day of the exam, if a candidate is unable to present for the exam on medical or compassionate grounds, the candidate must submit a written notice and provide evidence of cause within seven days of the exam.

No special consideration will be given to a candidate who elects against advice to continue with the exam.
