Diploma of Perioperative Medicine supervisor information

DipPOM supervisors will plan and facilitate the participant clinical immersion experience at a hospital.

Clinical immersion supervisors are specialists who have been awarded the DipPOM and have completed the supervisor induction workshop (see below).

Supervisors may supervise up to three participants and will spend approximately one hour per week engaging in supervisor duties. The main role of the supervisor is to facilitate and coordinate the experience of each participant completing a unit of study in the clinical setting. They will arrange and coordinate clinical immersion experiences and facilitate assessment opportunities for participants.

Supervisors will also have an opportunity to be involved in the facilitation of participant workshops, providing a valuable link between the online learning and clinical immersion experiences.

ANZCA is currently recruiting supervisors for 2024 program. If you are a DipPOM holder and interested in becoming a supervisor, please email us.
