Vacancy on the EMAC subcommittee

Are you a New Zealand-based fellow with expertise in simulation-based training, an understanding of the New Zealand health system, and an interest in continually improving the quality of ANZCA's flagship Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) course?
We're looking to appoint a new member to the EMAC subcommittee. Applications close 5pm AEST 16 June, 2025.
Selection criteria
Appointment of members will take into account the following factors:
- Content expertise in current and future simulation delivery, simulation technology, quality assurance, accreditation, evaluation and risk management processes.
- Involvement of non-councillor fellows.
- Knowledge of the ANZCA vocational training program, including current or past experience of ANZCA supervisory roles, noting that the regulation requires at least one current supervisor of training or regional education officer.
- Willingness and capacity to contribute to the work of the subcommittee on and offline, including out of session ‘work’ on average 8 hours per month (*TOR available on request - noting the group meet online three times per year and face to face once per year).
- Willingness and capacity to contribute to the accreditation process for EMAC course administration in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong including willingness to travel.
- Broad representation of centres that are approved to deliver EMAC.
ANZCA encourages and promotes diversity, equal opportunity and regional representation on all its committees, and these will be considered as part of the appointment process. EMAC subcommittee terms of reference are available on request.
