Anaesthetists are specialist doctors with unique clinical knowledge and skills. They have a major role in the perioperative care of surgical patients.

Having surgery under anaesthesia can be a bit daunting. Especially if it’s your first time. But there are a few simple things you can do  to get yourself better prepared for your surgery.

In May 2023, the TC-RGA agreed that Rural Generalist Anaesthetists (RGAs) would be recommended to undertake the Continuing Professional Developement (CPD) program-level requirements identified in the ANZCA and FPM CPD standard.

Managed by the ANZCA Global Development Committee, we have a number of other initiatives to help support and build the anaesthesia and pain medicine workforce in western Pacific countries

The Global Development Committee develop and promote resources to support our Asia-Pacific colleagues' continued professional development.
