We work with national, state and territory governments to ensure we're appropriately consulted on decisions affecting our members; the health systems they work within; and their ability to provide every patient with safe, high-quality, and culturally competent care.

The academic enhancement grant aims to foster the advancement of the academic disciplines of anaesthesia and/or pain medicine.

Every year, we make grant funding available to fellows and trainees who are novice, emerging or established researchers, for studies in anaesthesia, intensive care, pain or perioperative medicine.

Eye surgery can be performed under eye block, topical anaesthesia or general anaesthesia.

Awarded to the medical student with the best overall performance in the anaesthesia module of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Papua New Guinea.

All financial members of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) are eligible to both stand for and vote in the annual FPM elections.
