The Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC) reports to ANZCA Council on issues relevant or important to fellows of the college including fellowship engagement, policy, advocacy and community development.

ANZCA is currently developing a comprehensive strategy to ensure that the college meets its responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Aotearoa/New Zealand’s founding document.

The ANZCA Council governs the college with the support of the FPM Board and various committees. Its roles include reviewing and approving the annual strategic plan and budget, and developing and monitoring key performance indicators and other benchmarks.

The History and Heritage Advisory Panel reports to the CEO and sits within the ANZCA committee framework and structure. It works on matters relating to the history and heritage of the college, and the specialties of anaesthesia and pain medicine.

Ulimaroa is a heritage listed, 19th Century Italianate mansion, now incorporated into our Melbourne headquarters on St Kilda Road in Melbourne. It was purchased in September 1993, when the college was established.

The New Zealand National Committee (NZNC) is responsible for activities similar to those of the Australian regional committees but also represents the college in dealing with national agencies such as the Ministry of Health and the Medical Council of New Zealand. In this respe...

ANZCA considers bullying, discrimination and harassment unacceptable behaviour that will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Fellows and trainees acting as college representatives are responsible for ensuring an environment free of this behaviour.

The Western Australia Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in Western Australia, and the ANZCA Council to which they report.
