Anaesthesia Continuing Education (ACE) is a tripartite committee comprising ANZCA, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA), and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists (NZSA).

The Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) and Events Planning Committee reports to the Chief Executive Officer on matters relating to operational decisions in relation to the ANZCA/FPM ASM and other educational events run by ANZCA.

As part of our ongoing support for our fellows, trainees, and SIMGs, ANZCA has engaged the professional services of Converge International – a confidential and independent counselling and coaching program.

The Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC) reports to ANZCA Council on issues relevant or important to fellows of the college including fellowship engagement, policy, advocacy and community development.

Our CTN Executive and Anaesthesia Research Coordinators Network oversees the activities of the network in line with the strategic priorities.

Every year, we make grant funding available through our ANZCA Foundation to investigators undertaking pilot or feasibility studies in anaesthesia, pain or perioperative medicine that may lead to large multi-centre clinical research

Our professional documents, statements and guidelines are crucial for promoting the safety and quality of patient care for those undergoing anaesthesia for surgical and other procedures and for those receiving pain medicine treatment.

The ANZCA doctors health and wellbeing framework informs our strategic and operational efforts in the wellbeing space.

The undergraduate prize in pain medicine is awarded to the best medical student in pain medicine in either of the final two years of undergraduate medical training.
