Reporting to the Training and Assessment Executive Committee, the Examination Committee oversees the governance and implementation of FPM exams.  

Reporting to the Training and Assessment Executive Committee, the Learning and Development Committee is responsible for the ongoing support and evaluation of the training program and other educational initiatives.

The FPM WA Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the WA region, and the FPM Board and Professional Standards Committee to which they report.

The purpose of the Recognition Pathways Working Group (RPWG) is to develop the process for and subsequently assess and recommend applicants for recognition (“grandparenting”) of the ANZCA Diploma of Perioperative Medicine (DipPOM).

The Perioperative Medicine Content and Assessment Working Group is responsible for the development of the diploma course content, assessment activities and learning resources.

Awarded in recognition of significant contributions at a regional level to anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and/or pain medicine.

The centralised trainee tutorial program is an exciting initiative introduced in 2021 to provide all pain medicine trainees with access to a formalised teaching program and regular opportunities to engage with other trainees.

The DHM SIG promotes an interest in both Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (DHM) promoting the ANZCA Diploma in Advanced Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine as well as educational meetings and information about all things related to Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine.
