The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Pain Medicine have several pathways open to overseas trained anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists. Information on these pathways can be found below.

We accredit hundreds of hospitals and private practices in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore to deliver elements of our anaesthesia, pain medicine, and diving and hyperbaric medicine (DHM) training programs.

Our diploma of advanced diving and hyperbaric medicine (ANZCA Dip Adv DHM) provides a unique opportunity for specialist doctors to "take the plunge" into an exciting, emerging area of medicine.

In February 2021 ANZCA Council endorsed a recommendation to develop a dual anaesthesia and intensive care training pathway in collaboration with the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM).

The Faculty of Pain Medicine has defined processes to endorse fellows who practise procedures.
