ANZCA Foundation research grants are now open

We are proud to congratulate four of our faculty fellows who have been awarded ANZCA research grants for 2025, three of whom have received honorary named awards for their outstanding contributions.

The ANZCA Research Committee assesses research applications for projects related to anaesthesia, resuscitation, perioperative medicine, intensive care or pain medicine carried out in Australia or New Zealand.

We've created a dedicated grant for research in a range of aspects of professional practice, including simulation/education

We're helping to support research exploring environmental impact of anaesthesia and related products and activities

Reporting to the Professional Affairs Executive Committee, the Research Committee oversees innovative projects and initiatives in line with our strategic objectives, as well as promoting pain medicine research among our fellows and trainees.

Every year, we make grant funding available to fellows and trainees who are novice, emerging or established researchers, for studies in anaesthesia, intensive care, pain or perioperative medicine.

This annual grant program provides up to $A5000 for research and interpretation of the history of anaesthesia, pain, and perioperative medicine.
