Our pioneering pain medicine training program is a two-year post-specialist qualification that leads to fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists with the post nominals FFPMANZCA.

The Procedures in Pain Medicine Committee (PPMC) reports to FPM Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC) on matters pertaining to the FPM endorsement in procedures in pain medicine

The Perioperative Medicine Economics Working Group (POMEcWG) provides oversight of economic modelling and development of a cost-benefit analysis of perioperative medicine.

The DHM Sub-committee reports to the Education Executive Management Committee on matters pertaining to the ANZCA Diploma of Advanced Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine

The FPM Board oversees the activities of the faculty in accordance with the FPM by-laws and the ANZCA strategic plan.

The by-laws govern the conduct and management of the Faculty of Pain Medicine. 

Perioperative Medicine Content and Resource Review Working Group

The Perioperative Medicine Content and Assessment Working Group is responsible for the development of the diploma course content, assessment activities and learning resources.

A recognition pathway is open to eligible practitioners across various specialties to apply for legacy transition to the ANZCA Diploma of Perioperative Medicine.

Training time towards the ANZCA diploma of advanced diving and hyperbaric medicine (Dip Adv DHM) must be completed at a suitable diving and hyperbaric medicine (DHM) facility.
