​The Communication in Anaesthesia SIG plans to develop workshops and resources and provide guidance to help improve anaesthetists’ skills in all communication related aspects of their work.

As its name suggests, the History of Anaesthesia SIG is primarily concerned with researching and presenting the history of anaesthesia.

The Neuroanaesthesia SIG exists to foster interest in matters relating to the perioperative care and anaesthesia of patients with intracranial and spinal pathology. This includes the application of basic and translational science relevant to clinical anaesthesia.

The Rural SIG is one of 17 SIGs jointly managed by ANZCA, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA), and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists (NZSA) through the Anaesthesia Continuing Education (ACE) partnership.

Elected annually by NSW trainees, the committee act as a conduit between trainees and fellows, as well as with the ANZCA Council.

Awarded in recognition of those who make extraordinary and critically important contributions (clinical or non-clinical) in times of major disaster, conflict or in other circumstances outside the college.

The South Australian and Northern Territory Regional Committee is an elected body that acts as a conduit between fellows and trainees in the South Australian and Northern Territory regions and the ANZCA Council to which it reports.

The New South Wales Regional Committee is an elected body that act as a conduit between Fellows and trainees in the New South Wales region and the ANZCA Council to which they report.

The CTVP SIG promotes excellence in education, research, and leadership in the field through the collaborative efforts of our members. We welcome all as members, who share a dedication to advancing our discipline.

The DHM SIG promotes an interest in both Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (DHM) promoting the ANZCA Diploma in Advanced Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine as well as educational meetings and information about all things related to Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine.
