2024 Melbourne Winter Anaesthetic Meeting

On behalf of the Victorian Regional Committee of ANZCA and the ASA, we warmly welcome you to the Melbourne Winter Anaesthetic Meeting to be held 27-28 July 2024.

The conference will be held at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.

We have a great line-up of speakers from different specialties and disciplines to educate us on a variety of topics.

We would like to thank the FANZCA speakers and workshop facilitators who donate many hours of their time to organise, prepare and present at the regional ACE meetings.

The meeting will conclude with drinks and canapes where delegates can mingle and relax with their colleagues and speakers.

Cost and registration

Registration will open soon. Both ANZCA members and non members can register online.

  • Allied health professionals/retirees/trainees: $330.00

Continuing professional development (CPD)

Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD Program will automatically have their attendance auto-populated to the pending folder in their CPD portfolio within 14 days of the conclusion of the meeting.

This event is claimable by ANZCA and FPM CPD participants within the practice evaluation, knowledge and skills, or emergency responses categories.

Category 3: Emergency responses activities 
Where the outline states that the workshop satisfies an Emergency response CPD requirement, the workshop will be prospectively recognised as suitable to be claimed as an emergency response activity. This refers to workshops covering management of:

  • Can’t intubate and can’t oxygenate (CICO)  
  • Cardiac Arrest (ALS)

If you’re not participating in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program, please check with your respective college/provider regarding your CPD classifications. Post-event, you may request an electronic certificate of attendance for CPD evidence from the event organiser.
