Dr Debra Devonshire, FANZCA

ANZCA councillor Deb Devonshire

Dr Debra Devonshire was awarded her FANZCA in 1998 and was elected to ANZCA Council in May 2020. She's a visiting medical officer at Monash Health, Cabrini, Peninsula private hospital and the Victorian Heart Hospital (Cardiothoracics).

Debra is eager to continue developing ANZCA as an innovative leader whilst respecting the traditions of all those who’ve contributed time and effort before. As a member of multiple college committees, she has the skills to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders.
Debra is involved in both public and private practice giving her breadth across multiple anaesthesia scopes of practice. Education is a current focus for her, and she's the Chaired the Continuing Professional Development Committee while studying a Master of Education at Monash University.

Debra is committed to the Faculty of Pain Medicine as a board member and has worked in persistent pain clinics for over twenty years. She has also contributed to global development in Anaesthesia and Pain medicine with a decade of teaching in Mongolia in collaboration with the ASA.

Her current role as Vice President of ANZCA continues her career of service to the specialty of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine.
