Dr Noam Winter is Head of Pain Services at Alfred Health and an experienced Pain Medicine Physician and Anaesthetist, with additional training in palliative care.
He joined the FPM Board in May 2022 and currently holds the following roles:
- Chair, FPM Scientific Meetings Committee
- Member of the FPM Professional Affairs Executive Committee
- Member of the ANZCA ASM and Events Planning Committee
- FPM ASM Officer, 2026 ANZCA ASM National Organising Committee
Dr Winter is also an active academic and educator, holding a senior lecturer appointment at the University of Queensland, where he teaches pain medicine and anaesthesia to doctors and trainees. He has published research in international peer-reviewed journals and is a regular presenter at national and international scientific meetings.
His clinical practice includes neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, post-surgical pain, and cancer-related pain syndromes. Dr Winter maintains clinical, academic, and leadership roles focused on advancing evidence-based pain care and specialist training.
