These practice sessions are for NSW and ACT candidates preparing for their primary viva exam.
Four hospitals will host the viva nights in-person. Trainees who have passed their written exam will get an email invitation to attend one practice viva night. NSW and ACT trainees sitting the next viva exam will get priority.
Spots are limited. Check your email for instructions on submitting your preferences. These instructions will be sent within 3 days after the written exam results are released. Preferences are prioritised by submission time.
The NSW Primary Practice Viva for 2026.1 will be held across four participating hospitals:
- Royal North Shore Hospital – 14 April
- Royal Prince Alfred Hospital – 21 April
- Westmead Hospital – 22 April
- St Vincent’s Hospital – 28 April
The NSW Regional Committee is currently considering the provision of additional sessions if appropriate.
