The Department of Anaesthesia, Pain, and Perioperative Medicine, Counties Manukau Health, (Auckland) is pleased to invite applications for fellowship positions for the year February 2022- February 2023.
 On offer are up to seven ANZCA-approved clinical fellowships, and one pain fellowship.
 Four clinical fellowship positions are pre-approved by ANZCA to support subspecialty interests, with regular rostering to these clinical areas. Subspecialties supported at Counties Manukau include: obstetrics, burns, regional anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. Up to three positions are general roles, which afford a broad experience across all surgical specialities represented at the DHB.
The pain fellowship is a full-time training position, with no clinical anaesthesia or after hours call rostering.

Pain Medicine fellow - 2022

Pain medicine training at Alfred Health offers a high standard of training in chronic pain in an interdisciplinary setting, acute pain, complex pain and cancer pain management.
Training is accredited by the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) for core training and practice development towards Fellowship of FPM.
Fellowship in Pain Medicine is a post-specialisation qualification in Australia and New Zealand.

Advanced trainees nearing completion of medical specialty training in their primary specialty, or;

A vacancy exists for a six or 12 month post as a Pain Medicine fellow commencing on 7th February, 2022. Duties will include managing acute, chronic and cancer pain with close liaison between the Parkville Integrated Palliative Care Service and the Department of Cancer Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine.
Fellows will work only at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre site. They will gain experience in acute and chronic cancer pain, acting within a multidisciplinary pain team and gaining experience of the interventional management of cancer pain through dedicated theatre sessions.
