The 2026 ANZCA Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Pilot Grant Awards support exploratory studies across the network, strengthening the clinical trials pipeline.
Congratulations to all recipients of the 2026 ANZCA CTN Pilot Grant Awards.
The scheme supports a diverse portfolio of exploratory studies aimed at strengthening the future clinical trials pipeline and advancing improved patient care. Funded projects span the CTN network, with lead investigators from Hong Kong, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria.
These studies include genomic research exploring delirium and its links with dementia; initiatives to reduce operating theatre infections through improved hand hygiene; evaluation of intravenous iron therapy for post-cardiac surgery anaemia and its effects on survival and quality of life; and the development of a pilot registry trial investigating perioperative anaphylaxis.
We congratulate all investigators and their teams on their awards. A full list of funded projects is available on our webpage.
We gratefully acknowledge Dr Peter Lowe for his generous additional $10,000 donation to expand the program, along with the ongoing support of all ANZCA Foundation donors.
