Program-level requirements due end of 2025

Fellows and other ANZCA FPM CPD Program participants need to meet the program-level requirements each CPD cycle. These include:

• One Emergency response activity. Emergency response activities require prior recognition of suitability. If you are running out of time to complete your ER activity we recommend completing our online module, Perioperative anaphylaxis response which is recognised as a suitable emergency response activity.

• One of the four mandatory Practice evaluation activities (either a patient survey, multi-source feedback, peer review or clinical audit). The practice evaluation category includes activities that evaluate a participant’s own practice for quality assurance as well as activities that may not be directly relevant to their own practice. Examples of activities that are directly relevant to a participant’s practice include those that review their performance (multi-source feedback, patient experience surveys, evaluation of teaching) and those that measure outcomes (audit). Examples of activities that may or may not be directly relevant to a participant’s own practice include attendance at morbidity/mortality meetings, participation in case conferencing, hospital accreditation visits and medico-legal report writing.

• Satisfying the regulatory requirement for cultural safety. There is no minimum time requirement for the activity and hours spent completing it are claimable under Category 1 Practice evaluation – reviewing performance.
