Director of Professional Affairs, Assessor (NZ)

Expressions of interest are sought from enthusiastic and committed fellows practicing in New Zealand, for the part-time role of Director of Professional Affairs (DPA), Assessor.

Responsible to the Executive Director of Professional Affairs (EDPA), this role focuses on high-stakes decisions about trainees in the college’s educational programs, and support of the education and training work of the college. 

This role is to be held by a fellow practicing in New Zealand, to ensure knowledge of the New Zealand training environment within the DPA Assessor group.  

The position is for 8 hours per week (0.2 FTE). 

The DPA Assessor will be working with the education and research department as well as the other DPAs and involved fellows, and will report to the EDPA with work delegation from the heads of the college’s various educational programs.

Being a practicing anaesthetist (FANZCA) in New Zealand is essential as is knowledge and experience with all aspects of the college’s training programs and in-depth knowledge of the college’s education strategy and policies.  

Prior volunteer work for the college is highly desirable. Residence in New Zealand is required, rather than Melbourne where the role is based as part of the DPA department.
