Final examination: Change of viva schedule
ANZCA has updated the Final Examination viva schedule with the aim to enhance equity, consistency, and standardisation so that all candidates complete the same viva questions in the same sequence.
The revised schedule has been endorsed by the ANZCA Council, the Education Executive Management Committee (EEMC), and the ANZCA Trainee Committee.
The changes to the Final Examination Viva Voce will take effect from the 2026.1 FEx. All candidates will attend all 3 days of vivas as outlined below.
Day 1, Thursday: Anesthesia vivas 1– 4 (four vivas)
Day 2, Friday: Anaesthesia vivas 5 – 8 (four vivas)
Day 3, Saturday: Medical vivas 1 and 2 (two vivas)
A celebratory event will be held on Saturday evening, where all candidates and their families are warmly invited to celebrate the conclusion of the examination.
Examination results will continue to be announced as per current practice with dates available on the ANZCA website.
