The new FPM Dean and Vice-Dean were formally appointed at the FPM Annual Business Meeting held on Sunday, 3 May 2026.
The Annual Business Meeting was held today, with Dr Dilip Kapur handing the deanship and Dean's Medal to Professor Michael Veltman, who will work alongside newly appointed Vice-Dean, Dr Irina Hollington.
Immediate Past Dean, Dr Dilip Kapur reflected on his tenure, thanking the faculty, FPM Board, ANZCA Council, and colleagues and staff across the college for their support. Michael expressed his gratitude to Dilip, acknowledging his contributions as Dean and shared his own focus and aspirations for the role ahead.
The new FPM Dean shared his enthusiasm in working alongside Dr Hollington, and thanked the fellows, trainees, SIMGs and all those who volunteer, work and contribute to FPM.
We look forward to the collaboration and leadership of Professor Michael Veltman and Dr Irina Hollington over the next two years.
