Project Elevate progress update - July 2025

Progress update and upcoming milestones in our strategic initiative to replace the TPS with a modern, cloud-based training platform.
Background
In December 2024, the ANZCA Council approved Phase 1 of Project Elevate, a strategic initiative to replace the legacy Training Portfolio System (TPS) used in the ANZCA Training program with a modern, cloud-based training platform.
Originally developed over 12 years ago, the current TPS has become increasingly outdated, limiting flexibility, scalability, and the capacity to support evolving training needs.
Project Elevate will deliver a contemporary and reliable system that maintains core functionality while introducing targeted enhancements to improve usability and efficiency. The new platform will support better integration, security, and data insights, enable more informed decision-making and position the college to respond to future program needs. It will also streamline system maintenance, reduce technology costs, and provide a more sustainable foundation for ongoing improvement and innovation.
Progress update and upcoming milestones
Since our last communication in April regarding Project Elevate, we are pleased to provide an update on the progress made to date, as well as outline the next steps in the project’s development.
The project team has been actively engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the college to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system’s usability requirements. These consultations have been invaluable in informing the design and functionality of the new platform.
Our development team has made significant strides in ensuring that all workflows within the new application are intuitive and closely aligned with the current processes in the Training Portfolio System (TPS). This alignment is intended to facilitate a smooth transition for all users.
Next steps
- Stakeholder engagement: Project Elevate will be featured in upcoming meetings and forums. We invite you to engage with the information shared and stay informed as the project progresses.
- Demonstration materials: As new features are released, demonstration videos will be made available on the project website. These will provide an early look at the system’s capabilities.
- User testing opportunity: We are entering the testing phase of the project and invite expressions of interest from those who would like to participate. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact us at [email protected]. Selected participants will be invited to a focus group session (maximum 1 hour), during which we will demonstrate the new feature or function and gather feedback via an online form.
- Training and support: A suite of training modules and drop-in support sessions will be established. Dates and further details will be published on the website in due course.
Anticipated launch
We are targeting a release towards the end of the calendar year. This timing has been selected to minimise disruption to training pathways and ensure a well-supported implementation.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we drive Project Elevate forward. A special thanks to the many volunteers who’ve already played a key role—your involvement is making a real difference.
