New Zealand to withdraw pholcodine containing products from the market
Following Medsafe's review of pholcodine-containing medicines, and on advice from the Medicines Adverse Reactions Committee, consent for sale of the products in New Zealand will be revoked from 12 January 2024. More information is available on the Medsafe website.
'Surgeon' now a protected title
The new Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Surgeon) Amendment Bill restricts the use of title 'surgeon' to specialists surgeons. More information is available on the AHPRA website.
Recent webAIRS publications
During the months of September and October, four webAIRS papers were published in the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care journal reporting data from the webAIRS database and an editorial written by the editor Neville Gibbs.
