Launch of ANZCA DipPOM

Our new, world-first Diploma of Perioperative Medicine (DipPOM) was launched at the ANZCA ASM this morning.
ANZCA President Dr Chris Cokis launched our latest educational offering at the Sunday morning plenary session of the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Sydney.
Developed by a steering committee consisting of specialist clinicians from a wide range of craft groups and led by ANZCA Immediate Past President, Dr Vanessa Beavis and Queensland anaesthetist Dr Sean McManus, the diploma is the first in the world to incorporate a clinical immersion component in partnership with host hospitals.
Hear from some of the specialist clinicians involved in developing the diplomaThe qualification is designed to provide specialist doctors such as anaesthetists, surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and general practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of perioperative medicine, including a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to work alongside experienced multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
