Congratulations Dr Natalie Marshall
Image: Dr Martin Dempsey (ACT Regional Chair) congratulates Dr Natalie Marshall on her 14 years as an ACT SOT
Congratulations to Dr Natalie Marshall who recently completed her time as a Supervisor of Training – 14 years in total! Natalie is a central figure in the ACT anaesthetic community and has been a major contributor to college activities and to the Department of Anaesthesia at The Canberra Hospital for many years. She is an excellent clinician, known for her ability to safely anaesthetise even the most complex high-needs patients, and for this reason is often sought out for advice. Rather than stepping back with the completion of her time as an SOT, Natalie has embraced new opportunities. She has recently become involved in the organisation and delivery of the Patient Clinician Interaction Assessment at The Canberra Hospital, she is also an EMAC instructor, a primary examiner for the college, and a current member and past Chair of the ACT ANZCA Regional Committee.
Dr Marshall is an inspirational ANZCA fellow who has made an enormous contribution to the college, and to the broader anaesthetic community of the ACT. She embodies what it means to be a fellow of ANZCA and works tirelessly for the benefit of other members of the anaesthetic community.
Thank you Natalie for your dedication to our profession and for inspiring multiple generations of anaesthetic trainees and fellows to be the best versions of themselves.

ACT Regional Committee
The ACT Trainee Committee hosted a Trainee Social Event at Hijinx Hotel on Friday 27th June. It was a fantastic evening, with trainees teaming up to tackle a series of interactive games and challenge rooms – putting their physical and mental skills, as well as their teamwork, to the test. The friendly competition was followed by some delicious food, refreshing drinks, and great conversation.
