EPM Online

EPM Online has been launched and is now live and free for anyone across the globe.

Recognising the challenges of delivering face-to-face education since the emergence of COVID-19, the developers of EPM have taken the traditional training course and created a fully online, interactive, do-at-your-own-pace EPM online course.

EPM Online is not intended to replace face-to-face EPM, but will add an additional, accessible resource to the EPM suite of education.

EPM Online has been developed in a partnership between ANZCA, Interplast Australia & New Zealand and Praxhub, with support from the following organisations:

EPM Online provides a primer in the essentials of pain management. It covers the tools that can be used to Recognise, Assess and Treat pain. There is also a section on barriers to pain management, the importance of continuing to reassess pain and a series of cases using videos to demonstrate the use of EPM in patients with acute trauma and postoperative pain, cancer pain and chronic non-cancer pain.

The course is run through the Praxhub platform so users will just need to register for Praxhub to access the course, but this process is quick, easy and free.

To access the course, simply follow this link . You will be prompted to register, or to log-in if you are already registered. Once you have done this, you’ll be taken directly to the EPM online page, where you can commence the course.

You can pause and come back to the course at any time. The full course will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. Once you receive an 80 per cent pass rate, you will be able to download a certificate of completion.

Accessing EPM Online

We welcome feedback (email us at epm@anzca.edu.au), and we hope that this resource is shared far and wide across the globe, to extend the reach of Essential Pain Management.
